You should know about… Sex And The City 2

What we know about the big movie sequel so far…

The countdown to Sex And The City 2 has begun, and we’re all bracing ourselves for May 2010 when it hits our screens. So in celebration of the countdown, we bring you everything we know so far…

There are a lot of flashbacks. Sarah Jessica Parker brings out the big hair as the girls return to the ’80s to tell how Carrie moves to New York to begin her career as a writer. Check out the pictures from the Sex and the City set here.

There are some great famous faces cropping up. Penélope Cruz has admitted she was persuaded to take part in the sequel because she’s a huge fan of Sarah Jessica Parker. “I did a cameo because I’m a very big fan of the show and Sarah Jessica Parker – she is such an amazing actress.” But Cruz wasn’t giving away any storylines. Other cameos include Miley Cyrus and Liza Minnelli playing themselves.

Aidan does make an appearance. Boo. Photos of John Corbett in Morocco surfaced, sparking rumours that he was on the set with the rest of the cast and that the storyline revolved around Carrie and Aidan reuniting. Corbett, who plays Aidan, said, “I wasn’t in Morocco. I was in Istanbul about six years ago and somebody put a picture up and said I was in Morocco.” Of course that was all lies! He does appear in the film. Why and how? Only time will tell.

The girls are putting in long days. When asked how filming was going, Sarah told The Mirror, “We did a 21-hour day just yesterday. We’re working hard to live up to any expectations. We’re doing the best that we can. It’s a lot of work, but we love it.” Read the whole Sarah Jessica Parker interview here.

The second film is ‘bigger’ than the first. Kristin Davis admitted to MTV that “everything, accept for costume changes” was bigger. “There are more costume changes in the first one than there are in the second one,” the actress admitted.

It’s not going to be as long as the first movie. “Oh no. This one is not going to be that long. It’s like condensed soup,” said Kristin.

Jennifer Hudson is not going to appear in the new Sex And The City film. Her name’s not on the IMDB cast list for the movie and Sex And The City isn’t on the list of films she’s working on.
