so there´s already a few of us with NY resolutions to lose weight - i know it will motivate me to write down what i´m eating each day, what exercise im getting in, my weigh-in figures, etc etc. we can all track eachothers progress and help eachother along.

i´ll start with writing initial stats; height, weight, etc - and a few goals we want to reach. then we can look back and compare later on!

 - im 5 ft 6, and i weigh 12 st 6. my bra size is 36E -

i carry all my weight around my stomach and my boobs are always the first place to grow when i´m putting weight on. ideally i´d love to lose about 2 stone and target those problem areas. im feeling really crap about myself because im at the biggest i´ve ever been , i love fashion and clothes and i´m finding i don´t want to wear what i normally would because i´m so un-confident about my body now. also i have an absolutely gorgeous boyfriend and losing a bit of weight for myself would make me very very happy.

i started my diet thismorning..today i have eaten;

breakfast:

3 weetabix with semi-skimmed milk, and a glass of fresh orange juice
lunch:
small portion of potato, tomato and mozzarella bake that my boyfriend made, with extra virgin olive oil and a rocket salad
snack:
gluten free strawberry yoghurt
dinner:
spaghetti with a fresh tomato, balsamic vinegar and garlic sauce

for the past few months i´ve eaten a hell of a lot - chocolate every day, crisps, paninis, etc.. already i´m finding it hard without chocolate!!! help!

i´m also sticking to cutting out caffeine, which i started to do around a month ago, and it´s made me feel alot better already!

right.... roll up, roll up... lets go! x

But I work in a cake shop, this will be chinese torture, and <I couldn't live without a bucket of tetleys every morning, in fact without that I wouldn't even make it to work, but then I suppose that would solve the temptation problem. No seriously I must join in, I am smaller than u roller, at 5ft 2, and 66 kilos (dunno what that is is stones, and frightened to find outUndecided ) and as i'm not getting any younger I could do with shifting a few pounds, so count me in

Hello can I join in? Who is going to be Marjorie Dawes?!

I'm 5'7 and a size 14. I want to drop about a stone and sort out my tummy and thighs really.
I really want to get back to the fitness level I was before my injury this year. I find it much easier to eat properly when I'm active! I've slipped into some awful choclatey/ crispy habits as well since it's been so cold so I need to sort that out. I think it's best to go cold turkey on them for a while at least.

I've had a massive post NYE breakfast and been for a meal with friends this afternoon so I am not starting today.

hello everyone - please someone join me! feel a bit lonely posting 3rd day straight on my own!

walked to work and back again today and was running late so i was fast walking - counts as exercise surely!.. then had a walk around the town when i finished for lunch.

today i have and will eat:

breakfast - weetabix x 2
lunch - tomatoes on a small grilled baguette and glass of orange juice
dinner - think i might have a spanish tortilla - my boyfriend makes the nicest one! not too good though because he deep fries the potatoes

feeling good today - have lost some bloat around my stomach. i have food intolerances to quite a few foods like chocolate, and i´m not meant to eat dairy or wheat - and i´ve cut down alot over the past few days and it´s definitely made a difference. just got to shift the fat now! Laughing

sorry rolly I'm getting there honestly.

I did reasonably well yesterday, big bowl of porridge with pears and blueberries for breakfast and a low fat curry for tea and no booze but I then finished off all my christmas chocolate Embarassed

today I have made a big pot of smoothie from frozen fruit, porridge oats and skimmed milk (/saintly)
and I have grilled chicken and veggies planned for tea.

I keep meaning to go for a run but it is too cold still.  Might crack the Davina DVD out later.
I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow morning Foot in mouth

Yessssss! Sign me up Marj, this is what I need!

Currently I am 5"3 and around 10.5 stone (I think). I put on weight on my boobs too Roller, not sure exactly what size I am at the min bra wise. I also feel fat around my middle - spare tyre effect kicking in over the top of my jeans *attractive*.

I'd love to get to 9 stone, this would be a good healthy weight for me. Am aiming to exercise more - running, swimming and poss some gym classes. Would love to be able to do more weights as I know these are good for fat burning but I've no idea where to start, and I feel like a tit using weights in the gym.

Today I've had a low fat yoghurt for breakfast and a cup of tea with semi-skimmed milk
Lunch I had some pasta with tomatoes and tuna, sweetcorn
Dinner we're having a beef and ale hotpot with veggies and sharing a bottle of red wine.

Alcohol is the devil! Girls honestly I think I would prob lose about a stone if I just stop bloody drinking! Maybe I'll try limiting myself to a glass or two a week or something Frown

Ooh I used to do gym classes - I went to 2 a week and they were so much better than trying to do the same myself. What does your gym offer Strudy?
I never go near the weights in my gym, feel a proper tit as well. I've got some at home and I do arms stuff in my front room. Get yourself some (3-4kg) as they're only cheap!

Hello! Can I join in too? I lost 2.5 stone back in 2007 and while I've kept most of it off, I've put about 10lbs back on (it was only 7 before Christmas came along!). I now want to lose that 10lbs plus another 7 more to take me down to 9 stone and see how I feel, so that's 17lbs!! Eek. I've done it before, I just need to find that willpower again!

I'm using weight loss resources which is what I used before (and have stayed registered with throughout the last 3 years) and taking up running again since controlling calories and running was what got rid of the blubber in the first place! I went for a run on Friday (my legs are still recovering!) and have been trying to stick within a calorie limit, though I've gone over slightly yesterday and today thanks to the leftover Christmas food! Went to Tescos today and stocked up on healthier alternatives and have planned my food for tomorrow so I won't do it again!

I too have major chocolate issues which I usually solve my having a mini sized chocolate bar if I need chocolate, however recently I've just ended up eating loads of mini sized bars and have had no self control so am now trying to go without!
